Abstract
Business disciplines present distinctive pedagogical and research information needs which in turn require equally distinctive outreach approaches. This paper looks to provide a set of adaptable, practice-based strategies that operationalize outreach competencies for academic business librarians. Rather than presenting formal case studies, the paper offers applied examples that demonstrate how relational, digital, event-based, and curricular outreach can be developed and sustained across different institutional settings. The approaches presented serve as transferable models to guide both new and experienced librarians in designing outreach based on authenticity, creativity, and collaboration. This work contributes to the literature on subject-specific outreach by situating business librarianship within larger discussions of engagement and liaison practice.
